Silvetus is a registry of long-lived trees. Each one is referenced by its coordinates and represented by a token whose value depends on the tree staying alive. If you know an old, significant tree — one that has likely outlived the institutions around it — nominate it.

It’s free — logging a tree costs nothing but the network gas to put it on-chain. And the bar is simple: a genuine individual tree of roughly 250 years or older, standing where no one has registered one yet. We review each nomination to confirm it’s real and old — to verify it, not to turn trees away. Clear that, and we mint it to your wallet.

What we're looking for
  • A single, individual old-growth tree — roughly 250 years or older.
  • Not a clonal organism. The unit is one stem, one trunk, one tree.
  • A location you can point to: coordinates, ideally within a few meters.
  • A reason it matters — ecological, cultural, or simply that it's still standing.

Decimal degrees. West and south are negative (e.g. California longitude is negative). To find them: right-click the tree in Google Maps and copy the two numbers.
